Protection for Compton Wastewater Treatment Plant
The City of Branson will receive a $3 million dollar U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration grant to help fund a $14.4 million dollar flood prevention project at the Compton Wastewater Treatment Plant. With other funds in the pipeline, the city still needs another $3.6 million to complete the work. State and local resources are being considered to make up the remainder. The project should be completed by November of 2023.
