The Western Taney County Fire Protection District works a crash on Highway 65 near the intersection with Highway 86 Tuesday afternoon.
According to a post on the District's Facebook Page, Firefighters responded near mile marker #3 on Highway 65 around 12:30 to a report of a head on collision and a person trapped in one of the vehicles. Three WTCFPD Units utilized multiple sets of extrication equipment to free the driver of one of the vehicles.
Taney County Ambulance District assisted at the scene and transported two patients to an area hospital while the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Taney County Sheriff's Office were on hand to assist and investigate the crash.
Traffic in both directions on Highway 65 was backed-up for a time as emergency personnel worked the scene of the crash.
