Firefighters from both sides of the Missouri-Arkansas Border are battling a blaze into the evening hours Thursday.
According to a post from the Western Taney County Fire Protection District, units were dispatched to a hayfield on JJ Highway for a report of a hayfield on fire. According to the post, personnel from 10 Western Stations are on the scene and are also getting mutual aid assistance from Branson, Forsyth, and the Omaha Fire Departments as well as personnel from Central Taney County Fire and the Missouri Department of Conservation.
The post says firefighters are working to contain the spread of the fire and will be on the scene for an undetermined amount of time.
