The State Fire Marshall is investigating a fire that destroyed a home in Forsyth Thursday morning.
The fire was at a home near St. Joseph Street and Lakeside Avenue. According to the report, a neighbor initially thought she smelled trash burning but then saw the flames coming from the house and called 9-1-1.
Fire Chief Nathan Bower tells KY-3 News that one person was in the house at the time of the fire. She was rescued and taken to Cox Medical Center in Branson for treatment of her injuries.
