One of the traditions of the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia is the honoring of all the county Farm Families from around the state.
The families, selected by the local MU Extension locations and the Missouri Farm Bureau, celebrate a day at the State Fair.
According to a release from Taney County Extension, the Lowry Farm of Kirbyville was selected to represent the county at the State Fair. owners David and Kathy Lowry received a check for the local extension office to cover expenses on the trip.
Meanwhile, other Farm Families honored from the Lakes Region according to the Missouri Farm Bureau include the Blankenship Cedar Mound Farm from Barry County, the Circle JLC Family Farm from Stone County, and the Potter Family Farm in Ozark County.
