OZARK, Mo. — The family of a nine-year-old boy who was killed in a crash in 2022 has filed a lawsuit against the Christian County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).
The lawsuit, which was filed Monday in state court, claims that CCSO was negligent by continuing a high-speed pursuit with Zachary Fargo through busy streets on the night of July 13, 2022. While he was fleeing, authorities say Fargo ran a red light and crashed into a minivan, killing nine-year-old Alexander Finley.
Alexander Finley’s mother and his 12-year-old sister were injured in the crash. The lawsuit states the 12-year-old girl suffered a brain injury, pelvic fractures and abdominal trauma as a result of the crash.
