The Eureka Springs Police Department recognizes two officers who saved the lives of individuals during a fire in March.
According to a post of the department’s Facebook page, in the early morning hours of March 25, officers had responded to a residential structure fire when the were told that people were trapped inside the home. Officers Gresham and Walker immediately broke a window and were able to get two people and a dog out of the home safely.
Police Chief Billy Floyd says in the release that the quick-thinking action of the officers helped save lives.
The cause of the fire on Fuller Street is still under investigation.
