A change will be happening next year in the Lakes Area Legislative Representation as Karla Eslinger will become Missouri’s next Commissioner for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Eslinger will take over the Margie Vandeven, who announced earlier this year she would be leaving the position next July.
According to Ozarks First, Eslinger plans to continue serving as Senator for the 33rd District, which includes Stone, Taney, and Ozark Counties through the upcoming session then transition back to the Department of Education, where she previously served as an Assistant Commissioner.
Ozarks First also reports that Senator Eslinger has pre-filed a bill for the upcoming session that would increase pay for teachers.
The complete story can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
