The wrong-way crash on Highway 65 in Hollister on Saturday has left a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper's family facing a devastating loss.
According to the Missouri State Troopers’ Association, Trooper Colten Henderson was traveling with his wife, Haley, and their two children when their vehicle was struck by a driver traveling the wrong way.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report states that Colten and Haley Henderson were transported to Mercy Hospital with serious injuries. Haley Henderson later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The couple's two children suffered minor injuries.
Authorities reported that the driver of the other vehicle, who was traveling the wrong way, was pronounced dead at the scene.
In response to the tragedy, the Missouri State Troopers’ Association has established a GoFundMe account to assist Trooper Henderson and his family.
