While the Lakes Region was getting much needed rain on Thursday, the report for the previous week from the U.S. Drought Monitor remained constant.
The report continues to show in Missouri that areas north and east of the Branson-Kimberling City area in a Severe Level of Drought while areas south and west are Moderate to Abnormally Dry. Meanwhile in Arkansas, areas north and east of Harrison are at Moderate Drought or Abnormally Dry while areas south and west at no Drought Level.
Several areas received an inch or more of rain on Thursday with more rain expected Sunday night into Monday.
