In Missouri, all of Barry and Stone Counties and part of northwestern Taney County are at a Moderate Drought Level while the rest of the Lakes Region except for southeastern Ozark County is Abnormally Dry.
In Arkansas, the Drought expansion has been limited to northern parts of Boone, Carroll, and Madison Counties.
The drought levels coincide with the mostly dry conditions that have led to officials discouraging outdoor burning. In northern Arkansas, Boone, Carroll, Madison, Marion, Newton, and Searcy Counties all remain under Burn Bans.
