Two deaths in Carroll County are being investigated as a Double Homicide
According to releases from both the Arkansas State Police and Carroll County Sheriff's Office, on Friday, Carroll County Deputies responded to a welfare check on individuals near the 3000 block of west Highway 62 east of Eureka Springs. Officers found the bodies of 77-year-old Joy Willmeth and 71-year-old Robert Willmeth, both the victims of gunshot wounds.
In a follow-up post by the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, a suspect is in custody in this case.
The bodies have been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the cause of death. The investigation remains open according to the releases.
