An actress and a NFL football player are among the celebrities a Nixa woman is accused of impersonating according to court documents filed on Friday.
Earlier this week, the Nixa Police Department released information on the arrest of Sarah Mills on charges of money laundering, conspiracy, and two counts of felony stealing.
The probable cause affidavit submitted on Friday indicates two instances in which Mills impersonated celebrities in order to get money from victims. In one case, she impersonated actress Nicola Coughlan and got the victim to send her money under the guise of being in a relationship with her. In another case, she impersonated NFL Quarterback Joe Burrow and got the victim to send her money believing it was to help Burrow get out of his contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.
The statement said Mills stone over $22,000 as a part of these and other scams. She is currently being held without bond in the Christian County Jail in Ozark.
