Dickens Talks About Transition in Stone County Clerk's Office

New Stone County Clerk Denise Dickens talks about transitioning into her new role in the Courthouse during an interview Wednesday on KRZK's Ozarks Now.

Dickens, who took over the office August 1 from Cindy Elmore after she resigned and moved out of the county, talked about her prior experience in the office as Deputy County Clerk and how learning the new office software has been the major issue so far.

Dickens has been with the County for 32 years including the last 17 years as Administrative Assistant for the County Commission and discussed some of the things the county did to adapt and maintain operations during the COVID-19 Pandemic and teaming up with the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce in distributing CARES Act Funding for COVID Economic Relief.

Dickens will hold the office until the end of next year and has announced she will run for a full-term in office at that time.

The complete interview with Denise Dickens can be seen on the Ozarks Now Facebook Page.
