Diamond City continues moving forward with plans to revitalize their community.
Earlier this year, Mayor Jamie Nuessner on both KHOZ's Around the Table and KRZK's Ozarks Now talked about hopes of developing a new campground area to replace the current campground that has been constantly underwater due to flooding of Bull Shoals Lake.
Now, Nuessner tells Ozarks First that the City has purchased 52 Acres of Land for around $171,000 that will be the site of a new campground out of the flood plain. Nuessner says there is a boom in residential construction and the City needs to develop this campground plus attract businesses to reenergize tourism in the community.
The complete feature can be seen on the Ozarks First Website.
