A southwest Missouri Legislator has thrown her hat into the ring to be Missouri's next Governor.
In a video message posted Sunday morning on her Facebook Page, 132nd State Representative Crystal Quade announces her run for the governorship in 2024. Quade, a Democrat and currently the House Minority Leader, was first elected to the House representing part of Greene County and the Springfield area in 2016.
Quade enters a field that includes two Republicans, Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe and Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, to replace current Governor Mike Parson who has announced he will not run again for office in 2024.
