For the first time in over a week, not Heat Advisories or Extreme Heat Warnings are in effect for the Lakes Region as a cool down begins which will see highs only in the 80s for the next several days.
The National Weather Service says there is a Marginal Risk for Severe Weather as rain accompanies the front bringing in the cooler temperatures. Small hail, 60 MPH wind gusts, and brief periods of heavy rain are the primary threats.
The weekend is forecast to be cool and dry with highs in the 80s and lows around 60.
