Constitution Week Begins Friday in Branson

Branson's Mayor Makes a Proclamation Establishing Constitution Week in the City.

The City of Branson Press Release on the Week is below:

Mayor Larry Milton read a proclamation declaring September 17 through the 23 as “Constitution Week” in Branson at the regular September 14 Board of Aldermen meeting and presented the proclamation to the Taneycomo Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Chapter Regent, Renee Benson.

September 17, 2021 marks 234 years since the Constitution of the United States of America was framed by the Constitutional Convention. Mayor Milton wants to officially recognize this document and its memorable anniversary by asking “our citizens to reaffirm the ideals the Framers of the constitution had in 1787 by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through this guardian of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never be regained.”

This official proclamation can be found in the “Agendas & Minutes” section of the City’s website in the September 14 Board of Aldermen agenda by clicking on the “HTML Agenda Packet” for that meeting and clicking on the proclamation item.
