As the Jet Stream now settles into a path through the middle of the US, the door is open for colder air in the Lakes Region.
Highs today will only be in the upper 40s with north winds gusting to around 20 mph. Temperatures will rebound to around 50 for Thanksgiving Day and for Friday before another frontal system brings the return of precipitation to the Lakes Region Friday night and continues through Sunday.
All the precipitation in the Lakes Region is expected to be rain but areas north and east of the area could see some snow before the end of the weekend according to weather forecasters.
