The Branson Board of Aldermen hear a presentation during Tuesday's Study Session about a Lodging Safety Initiative.
The presentation, made boy Administrative Executive Assistant Alex Girard, talks about a re-emphasis on existing codes and laws to ensure all city lodging facilities are safe for guests and tenants in both nightly bookings and for facilities that are for extended stays.
The presentation included a outline of current code plus input from City Fire and Police as well as the Taney County Health Department, the Branson Lodging Association, and House of Hope.
Girard said the goal is to make sure all facilities are playing on a level playing field when it comes to safety and compliance.
The complete presentation can be seen on the City of Branson Website.
