During Tuesday night's Board of Aldermen meeting, Branson citizens took to the public comment section to speak in support of Alderman Ruth Denham.
Several Branson citizens spoke in support of Denham; during the previous meeting, the expected discussion surrounding allegations against Denham was held off when Alderman Bill Skains called the question. Calling the question is an option to bring a discussion to an end. The allegations come from a Planning and Zoning Commission member; these allegations were brought to the public’s attention by a Branson Tri-Lakes News article.
Citizens who spoke about the issue complimented Denham’s integrity and performance as a representative. Gary Groman made a speech and later asked Denham a series of yes or no questions; she answered the questions. Skains said he would not answer Groman’s questions and said that it had turned into a circus.
Groman called Skains the ringmaster, to which Skains replied that Groman is the ringmaster. The public comment section can be viewed or heard in full online.
