Christian County Residents share their concerns over a proposed facility at a Planning and Zoning meeting Wednesday.
Black Mountain Energy Storage is proposing to build a battery storage facility off Old Prospect Road south of Ozark. The facility would help smooth peaks and valleys of energy transmission throughout the power grid a company rep tells Ozarks First.
The purchase of the land Black Mountain is trying to buy is contingent on approval for rezoning. Many residents in the area are concerned about some health risks with the lithium batteries that will be used.
Full details on the meeting can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
