While the roller coaster weather may not make residents happy, it does actually help the fishing and hunting conditions in the region.
Chris Boyd, one of the Taney County Agents for the Missouri Department of Conservation, says on the latest edition of the MDC Podcast that the changing water temperature helps the recently started Paddle Fish Season as well as for catching crappie and trout. Boyd also suggests that the changing weather pattern may help the upcoming Spring Turkey Season.
