The Branson Board of Aldermen hear an update on Sports Marketing.
Director of Sports Marketing and Development for the Branson Chamber of Commerce Terra Alphonso presented Branson’s Board of Aldermen with an update on sports marketing during Tuesday night’s meeting.
“The Sports Marketing Department is sports, marketing and development,” Alphonso said. She said they focus on sales, event services, facility development, advertising and marketing. Their methods of marketing include traveling to shows, partnering with Show-Me Missouri Sports and utilizing the Sports Relationship Conference.
Alphonso said marketing also occurs through sporting events themselves. “For example, the power boats event, this particular event we had coverage in 2019 of the Grand Prix of Missouri. It was seen 102 times in over 128 million households on nine networks.” 30 second commercials were distributed through that. Alphonso said upcoming events can be found at explorebransonsports.com.
