CBCO Offering Vintage T-Shirts As Part of Blood Drive

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks hosts a Blood Drive that also gives donors a chance to get a vintage t-shirt.

The CBCO is inviting blood donors and the public to get to the Springfield Donor Center for the “T-Shirt Pop-up Sale and Blood Drive.” today from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 220 W. Plainview Road.

Donros will receive a “Make S’more Memories” T-Shirt and a voucher for past drive related shirts. Donors will also receive a voucher good for a free small one-topping pizza from Marco’s, and an entry into the Make S’more Memories sweepstakes for a chance at an outdoor fun prize package worth more than $1,200.00.

“This new event is going to be fun for both donors and non-donors,” CBCO Media Relations Representative Chris Pilgrim says in a press release. “There have been a lot of clever T-shirt designs we’ve come up with over the years. We are cleaning out our closets, and these shirts will come in handy during the hot summer days. At this price, you could easily buy a couple for yourself, a family member or friends and help us spread our lifesaving message.

Those unable to donate blood, can purchase the vintage T-shirts. They are $3.00 per shirt while supplies last. According to the press release, during “the summer months, it is not unusual to see blood donations drop sharply, and this drive will help stock blood reserves in advance of the long July 4th holiday weekend. Currently, CBCO is in short supply of most blood types, and a strong donor response is needed to help avoid a possible blood shortage.”

While appointments are encouraged walk-ins are welcome for the event. Participants can sign up online.
