An incident Tuesday in Carroll County results in a man shot, another man arrested, and a nearby structure damaged by fire.
According to the release from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, personnel were dispatched to County Road 830 where they found 33-year-old Ian Moran suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. While being treated, Moran told law enforcement who had shot him. That sent officers searching for and eventually arresting 39-year-old John Tallent on charges of Attempted Murder and Battery. Tallent is being held in the Carroll County Jail on a $750,000 Bond while Moran was taking to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison then to Mercy Hospital in Springfield where he is in critical condition.
No information was released on the structure fire or if it was related to the shooting incident.
