The shortened filing period for candidates to get on the Missouri April Ballot is next week.
A law passed earlier this year by the Missouri Legislature shortened the candidate filing period to three weeks with the deadline now set for next Tuesday. City Government positions as well as School Board Positions and other Boards including Fire Districts will be decided in the April Election.
With many government and school offices being closed Friday and/or Monday for the Christmas Holiday, people interested in signing up are encourage by Missouri Election Officials to check on open hours for those offices as well as any paperwork needed when signing up.
