It’s not every day that drivers see a camel in the road in Christian County.
According to the Sparta Police Department, the camel fell out of a trailer traveling on Highway 14.
Officers say the animal’s owners turned around as soon as they realized the camel had escaped.
Police say the camel did appear to have an injury on its left hind leg and some road rash from the incident.
