Due to ongoing drought conditions and heightened wildfire risk, Buffalo National River is now under a temporary fire ban.
This ban prohibits all wood-fueled fires, including charcoal grills, in developed campgrounds and backcountry areas.
However, camp stoves, lanterns, and free-standing gas grills are still allowed in developed campgrounds and picnic areas. Solid fuel, propane, or liquid-fueled camp stoves and lanterns may be used throughout the park.
The complete release from the Buffalo National River can be found on the KTLO Website.
