One of the fatalities reported in Missouri Traffic Crashes over the Thanksgiving Weekend was a Lakes Area Woman.
According to a report filed by Troop F of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred Thanksgiving Day in Cooper County when a 40-year-old woman from Branson was driving her car on Highway 135 when it exited the roadway, struck an embankment, became airborne, and ejected the driver. The victim was taken to University Hospital in Columbia where she later died from her injuries.
Preliminary numbers from the MSHP indicate this was one of three fatality crashes worked by the patrol over the holiday weekend.
