The following is a press release from Branson Public Schools.
Branson Public Schools is excited to join districts across the region and the Greater Ozarks Cooperating School Districts (GOCSD) for “Teacher Proud Tuesdays.” On the second Tuesday of every month, the district will highlight members of the teaching staff.
For the month of October, Branson School District is proud to recognize Kelsey Jackson, 2nd grade teacher at Buchanan Elementary. When asked why she is deserving of this honor, Principal at Buchanan Elementary, Dr. April Hawkins, says, "Kelsey Jackson is a kind, considerate, and caring teacher who maintains unconditional positive regard for students. Mrs. Jackson is the whole package as a teacher; she builds strong relationships with learners, maintains solid classroom management, and masterfully implements best instructional practices in the classroom. She's a shining gem among the Pirate Family."
The district will accept internal nominations from employees, as well as external nominations from the community. For more information on how to nominate an outstanding teacher for “Teacher Proud Tuesdays,” please visit Branson Schools website. Nominations roll over from one month to the next. Branson Public Schools looks forward to celebrating teachers through this initiative.
