Branson rental properties have been a topic of discussion for a while, and they were once again on Tuesday at Branson City Hall.
Branson Finance Director Cherri Phifer delivered a presentation on short-term rental properties during Tuesday night's board of aldermen meeting. A final reading of the presented bill passed. These new pieces of code were previously given to the board for consideration.
Those new codes include displaying an emergency plan in all of these rental properties and having mandatory fire inspections. Additionally, a permit related to the rentals is coming about.
Those are just a few items that were proposed. Changes to the code include the definition of "dwelling unit" as well as other updates.
Later, comments property owners were permitted. Phifer answered some of the questions.
