As work continues on the infrastructure overhaul in Branson's Hiawatha Heights Neighborhood, city crews spent Christmas Eve fixing a water main break.
According to posts from the City of Branson Facebook page, a main break was discovered Wednesday morning on South Sunshine near First Baptist Church and water was shutoff around 10:00 am with the hope to having water restored to the neighborhood by 6:00 pm. Crews encountered another break in the same area later in the day with water finally restored around 9:45 pm.
South Sunshine remained closed all day which forced people attending Christmas Eve services at FBC Branson to find alternate routes. People attending the Christmas Eve Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church also saw some traffic impacts due to the ongoing infrastructure project.
