According to the probable cause affidavit from the Taney County Sheriff’s Office, this past Monday, deputies were assigned to investigate a report of an attempt at communications with a person the suspect, identified as David Kain of Branson, thought was a 13-year-old female.
This week, investigators conducted a search of the database of the suspect, and it revealed that he has a criminal history dating back over 10 years.
This is the second time this week that information was released on Taney County’s involvement in a child enticement investigation. Local officials worked with Virginia authorities to arrest a Taney County individual on similar charges.
