Friday saw Branson Firefighters work a pair of vehicle accidents under unusual circumstances.
According to a release on the Branson Professional Firefighters Local 152 Facebook page, the first crash occurred around 1:15 pm on a road in the Branson Hills Shopping area near the Wal-Mart Parking Lot.
Two units arrived on the scene to find a Sports Utility Vehicle perched at the edge of a retaining wall behind the strip of shops at the front of the complex. The driver was unable to get out of the vehicle which led firefighters to stabilize the vehicle then use a ladder from the bottom of the retaining wall to remove the driver from the vehicle.
The driver was treated at the scene and later taken to the hospital by Taney County Ambulance Paramedics. The Branson Police Department is investigating the accident.
Just over two hours later, firefighters responded to a residential area off of 248 for a report of a vehicle into a building. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a pickup truck pulling a trailer had into the side of the residence.
According to the post on the incident, the driver had suffered a medical emergency which led to the vehicle leaving the roadway and colliding with the house. The driver was treated at the taken to the hospital by TCAD Paramedics. The Branson Police Department is also investigating this incident.
No one in the residence was injured and the house was still habitable according to the release.
