The Branson Convention Center prepared for a net income loss of over $319,000 but it was only $16,000, according to Angie Teel, general manager of the Branson Convention Center.
Teel said that while delivering the center's 2024 Year-End report during Tuesday night's board of aldermen meeting. She said that's close to $300,000 ahead of the budget. "It's my understanding in looking back at past financials that that is the second-best financial performance of the convention center since it opened," Teel said. Branson Mayor Larry Milton praised that accomplishment.
"That is absolutely phenomenal," Milton said. He went on to highlight the strong performance. "Convention centers nation-wide are typically a lost leader for that community, right?" He pointed to Teel and her team's work as an exception.
