One of the items on the agenda for this evening’s Branson Board of Aldermen Meeting is a request for additional grant funding for Elevate Branson on their Elevate Community Project.
According to information posted on the City of Branson Website, this request goes back to 2021 when the City applied for on behalf of Elevate Branson for funds to build the project with the grant total coming up to over $1.9 million. After infrastructure design was completed, the lone bidder on the project came in with a total of just under $3.2 million. The request on tonight’s agenda would budget money to allow Elevate to go after more Community Block Grant Funds to continue the project. Tonight’s item comes three weeks after a Special Meeting in which Elevate Branson was denied Letters of Support for other projects over concerns by some Aldermen over progress on the projects.
Also on tonight’s agenda, a celebration of County Music Star and longtime Branson Entertainer Moe Bandy as today will be proclaimed Moe Bandy Day honoring him for his contributions to the local entertainment industry.
The meeting will begin at 6:00 at Branson City Hall.
