After discussion and some amendment additions, the City of Branson has approved an ordinance to clarify the regulation of Data Centers and Crypto Mining Facilities.
During Tuesday night's Regular Board of Aldermen Meeting, the ordinance that was initially approved at a Special Meeting earlier this month was brought up and discussed after which some amendments were suggested by Ward 2 Alderman Glenn Schultz clarifying some of the guidelines for sound and other factors. While some people in attendance supported the ordinance, others thought it went to far with restrictions.
In the end, the ordinance was approved on a 5-1 vote with Ward 2 Alderman Artie Lucas voting against it.
The complete meeting can be seen on the City of Branson YouTube Channel.
