An area state representative has announced a run for State Senate.
138th State Representative Brad Hudson makes the announcement last week at the New Testament Church in Reeds Spring his intention to run for the 33rd District Senate Seat currently held by Karla Eslinger.
In a Facebook Post thanking those that attended the announcement, Hudson said that the 33rd District deserves a person who represents their values. He pointed out that the recent redistricting left many in the Lakes Region a Senator they did not vote for. Eslinger became the area State Senator when redistricting reset the boundaries and all of Stone and Taney Counties were shifted from Mike Moon to her.
The 33rd District covers Douglas, Howell, Ozark, Shannon, and Texas along with Stone and Taney Counties.
The senate seat will be up for election next year.
