Boone County Law Enforcement is investigating a camper fire that claimed the life of a woman and two dogs
Boone County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Roy Martin says in a social media post the fire was reported just before 9 Monday morning on Sunset Drive.
The Capps-Batavia Fire Department responded to the call and discovered a female identified as 33-year-old Catherine R. Waters deceased inside the camper, along with her two dogs.
Martin says it is believe Waters attempted to exit the camper but was succumbed by the smoke and fire originating inside the trailer.
Evidence suggests the fire was accidental, but the body will be submitted to the Arkansas state medical examiners for analysis.
