Three people from North Carolina were injured, one seriously, after a boat explosion on Table Rock Lake Tuesday afternoon.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in Barry County east of Eagle Rock when a 41-year-old male was attempting to start a boat when gas fumes caused it to explode.
The male plus an 18-year-old female sustained moderate injuries while a 14-year-old male sustained serious injuries and were taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
