Voters in parts of southwest Missouri went to the polls to make decisions on several ballot issues.
According to results from Ozarks First, in Barry County, voters in the Cassville Fire Protection District approved a District Sales Tax to support operations while voters in Christian and Stone Counties defeated a proposed Tax Levy for the Nixa Fire Protection District. In addition, Christian County voters said No to a Use Tax Proposal for out of state internet sales.

S of O Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams Make History with State Championships
POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — On Saturday, Nov. 8, the School of the Ozarks Cross Country teams made history at the Class 1 state meet by claiming the state championship titles for both the boys and girls teams. In addition, sophomore Kellen Robertson won the Class 1 individual title for the Missouri State High School Athletic Association cross country championships. On the girls side, Ella Howard was the top finisher, taking home 10th place.

The Reeds Spring High School Theatre Department will perform Mary Poppins: The Musical from Thursday, November 20 - Sunday, November 23. The shows begin at 7:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at the Reeds Spring Middle School Auditorium. The Sunday matinee begins at 2:30 p.m.
Sheriff’s Office Donates Patrol Car to Criminal Justice Program
Students preparing for careers in law enforcement will now gain hands-on experience with real equipment. The Stone County Sheriff’s Office has donated an out-of-service patrol car to the Table Rock Career Center’s Criminal Justice program.
