A motorcycle accident Wednesday evening kills two people.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred a mile east of Cassville on Highway 248 when the cycle, driven by 19-year-old Rylan Wilson, went off the right side of the highway and struck an embankment, ejecting both Wilson and a 14-year-old male passenger.
The passenger, who’s was not named in the report, died on the scene while Wilson was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield where he later died.
48 people have died in traffic accidents worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol so far in 2023.
