Kara Miller and Sharon Turney of the health department say during the latest edition of the "At Your Service" Podcast that the cases increased four-fold from the end of 2018 through 2021 with the majority of those cases being Syphillis. Turney added that the disease is a tricky one to diagnose because it has few symptoms. The infection is treatable but can lead to major health problems if it is not diagnosed.
