A regional author recently discussed his work which explores real-life issues.
Nate Gilmore appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to talk about his work and life. His book series "A Relentless Father" tells the story of his battle to remain in the lives of his children. He provided some detail as to what else inspired him.
Gilmore worked in a prison as a corrections officer. He said he found that many inmates didn't have fathers. He wanted to make sure his kids knew he was present in their lives.
Later, the author spoke about his journey to publishing his books and his book "Serenity," which delves into sobriety.
"If the "Relentless Father" series was a present to my children, "Serenity" was the bow on top of it," Gilmore said. More was discussed on the broadcast.
The full interview with Gilmore is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
