The Arkansas State Police reports a pair of fatality traffic crashes, both in Madison County on Saturday.
The first crash occurred U.S. Highway 412 around 3:00 Saturday morning, when the driver of a car crossed the center line and struck a SUV head-on. The driver of the car, a man from Pennsylvania was killed while the driver of the SUV, a woman from Fayetteville, was injured.
The second crash occurred around 3:00 Saturday afternoon near Clifty on State Highway 23 when a motorcycle driven by 49-year-old Jason Koeffler of Eureka Springs went into a ditch to avoid a slow-moving vehicle then returned to the highway on its side. Koeffler was injured in the crash while a passenger on the motorcycle, 35-year-old Amanda Stonebreaker of Kansas, was killed in the crash.
