The Branson Board of Aldermen has a full compliment of members now with a recent vacancy being filled.
At Tuesday night’s meeting, Mayor Larry Milton with a vote of the board appointed Thomas Lucas to fill the unexpired one-year term of Cody Fenton, who resigned in March after having moved out of Ward 2.
Lucas, who goes by the name Artie, has served in government previously in Kansas before moving to Branson, including two years in the Kansas House of Representatives and three terms on a county commission. According to the release from the city, Lucas and his family moved to Branson six years ago to be with family and among his current activities, he is a Volunteer Chaplain for Cox Medical Center and Volunteer Assistant Chaplain for Branson Fire & Rescue.
Lucas will serve as Ward 2 Alderman until April of 2025.
