Arrest Made in Incident That Damaged Forsyth Fire Station

A person is now charged with the damage done to Forsyth Fire Station Number 2 in July.

According to a release from the Forsyth Police Department, the arrest was made late Tuesday afternoon without incident. The name of the person arrested has not yet been released. 

On July 29. a vehicle drove into the side of the building near the door doing damage to the wall. The vehicle left the scene immediately after hitting the building. 

According to the release, investigators located the suspect and during an interview, admitted to being the person who drove into the building. 

The release added that the vehicle will be held with the Police Department until claimed by the registered owner while the Fire Department will move forward with repairs to the building.
