An Arkansas woman has died in a two-vehicle crash in Missouri.
According to the Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred near Washburn during the noon hour Monday, when a Jeep driven by 39-year-old Phillip Fonsworth of Pea Ridge tried to pass a van making a turn and collided with it, sending the Jeep off the highway where it overturned.
Fonsworth and a passenger in his vehicle, 36-year-old Kimberly Rogers also of Pea Ridge, were taking to Mercy Hospital in Springfield where Rogers later died.
This is the 132nd fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2023.
