An area attorney has taken on a case that involves a school in south central Missouri.
Branson Attorney Dayrell Scrivner is representing one of the families that has filed suit against the Ozark Horizon State School in West Plains where staff members were alleged to have abused their 13-year-old autistic child.
The school, which is a state-run facility for the disabled, had come under scrutiny when several members of the staff were arrested on abuse charges. The case was moved from Howell County to Federal Court in Springfield since both State and Federal Laws were alleged to have been broken.
